Smartphone and tablet computer apps are a routine part of everyday life for tech-savvy consumers who use the programs to work and communicate more efficiently. Apps have some distinct advantages, but Delaware law firms have only recently begun to embrace this technology.

Last week Morris Nichols Arsht & Tunnell rolled out an app for Apple’s iPad, Morris Nichols’ Delaware Bankruptcy Companion for iPad, and future apps are scheduled to follow. Last month, Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor launched a smartphone and tablet e-book, United States Bankruptcy Court Rules for the District of Delaware, and, in August, Richards Layton & Finger made a recent webinar on Delaware corporate law as a podcast available for smartphone and tablet download.
