In 2010, a cross-discipline team was asked to find software to support our new legal project management program at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan (www.sutherland.com). Our firm has approximately 425 attorneys and 350 support staff. We have five U.S. offices, and one overseas operation, and service seven major practice areas: corporate, energy and environmental, financial services, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, and tax.

As director of project management and user support, I led the project. The core team included, among others, technology project manager Andrea Varin, and business managers Monica Ulzheimer and Sheri Palomaki (also director of practice management). The project was overseen by chief client service officer Felice Wagner and then-CIO David McLean.
