With a one-paragraph order filed Tuesday, Judge Marilyn Huff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California brought a hard-fought patent litigation between Alcatel-Lucent and Microsoft that lasted more than a decade to an end. Alcatel-Lucent’s counsel at Kirkland & Ellis and Microsoft’s lawyers at Fish & Richardson filed the joint stipulation last week to dismiss all claims and counterclaims in the case. Each side will bear its own costs and attorneys fees, according to the filing. (Hat tip: The Seattle Times’s Microsoft Pri0 blog.)
