Remember the good old days when practice management systems were all about managing a matter, but not about customer relationships, document management, and time and billing? Right! Those days weren’t all that good. Today, practice management systems not only manage matters, they also manage and bill clients, maintain your calendar, and can even automate document creation. Now Rocket Matter’s new release brings it up to speed with other online practice management system and supports document assembly to merge client and matter data into custom documents.
Rocket Matter announced version 2.0 of its online legal practice management and time and billing software for small to midsize law firms. The company supported the use of document templates with fields that merged client, matter, and time and billing data into a customized invoice for billing. Now Rocket Matter has taken the next step in document automation to allow customers to import templates from Microsoft Word 2003, 2007, or 2010 with standard and custom fields that merge with client data in Rocket Matter’s database to create forms, letters, pleadings, and more in Microsoft Word or PDF. And you can link billing information to document creation.
