There’s a new tool in the compliance officer’s toolbox. And not only is it free, it also answers one of the most common questions asked by those who have to update company compliance policies: What is everyone else doing?
Two attorneys at Haynes and Boone and a law student in Houston did the homework. They spent hundreds of hours combing through publicly available codes of conduct at Fortune 500 companies and compiling the results in a dataset. In November the package was launched online by the Ethisphere Institute, a think tank that focuses on best practices in business ethics and corporate social responsibility.
