Hubbard One released version 6.8 of its Business Development Suite this week, which includes several new features designed to help law firms develop client relationships while maintaining ethical boundaries, such as allowing or denying various users access to documents and checking for conflicts among matters the firm undertakes.

The release rounds out the software’s sixth generation, which began in 2006, and sets the stage for a seventh-generation product due in the second half of 2013, explained Vinnie Scarinci, director of business development solutions for the Chicago-based division of Thomson Reuters.
