If you put your finger on a repetitive office task, such as scanning and printing documents, and don’t recover the cost of the work product, you’re missing an opportunity to reduce your office overhead with the help of software like nQueue Billback‘s iA Scan software, which captures and manages cost-recovery information.

nQueue recently announced a new, optional, low-cost scan engine, called iA Route, for customers in small law offices with three or more multifunction printers. Like nQueue’s current engine from Omtool, called AccuRoute, the new scan engine works with iA Scan, the company’s third-generation user interface, and is a multi-threaded application that is designed to scale up to the scanning requirements of large law firms. Applications that support mulitple threads allow you to issue simultaneous print and scan requests on an MFP, but you do not have to wait until one or the other operation is complete for the next operation to begin, such as in a single-threaded application.
