As electronic data discovery costs have increased — along with the available data that may be responsive to litigation or investigation — corporate legal departments have demanded more control of the process, from early case assessment to collection and production to presentation. To satisfy this need, Exterro extended its Fusion platform, offering Zeta . It gives the company credibility in claiming Fusion is a full service e-discovery platform, addressing all components of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model.

Zeta, with pricing that starts at $120,000, is designed to scan data repositories and assess data in the early stages of litigation, i.e., it conducts an early case assessment (ECA). The product also preserves, culls, and collects electronically stored information; analyzes and reports on collected electornically stored information; and conducts a first-pass review. After first-pass review, you can create a native, PDF or .tiff production set, or export the content to a full review platform like kCura Relativity or a litigation support tool, such as LexisNexis Concordance.
