In other practice management software news, LexisNexis has launched a new feature for its cloud-based Firm Manager system. Firm Manager helps users run calendars, documents, tasks, deadlines, contracts, and time and expense details, the company says. Users can access client and matter information, and share documents with clients. The software is compatible with smartphones, laptops, and other mobile devices, says LexisNexis.
Sync for Mac helps users synchronize calendar and contact information with iCal and Address Book on devices that use Mac OS X operating systems. When it first launched last year, Firm Manager synchronized only with Microsoft Outlook. Later, it added full synchronization with Google Calendar and contacts. Until recently, however, Mac lawyers had no easy way to integrate their calendars and contacts with Firm Manager.
