Businesses that conduct online transactions want to communicate terms and conditions to numerous consumers without lengthy negotiations between the parties. Many of those companies electronically present consumers with what are called “wrap” agreements, under which users accept terms either by 1) affirmatively clicking or typing assent or 2) continuing to use the product or service governed by the agreement.

Additionally, many employees will encounter these wrap agreements in the course of their work days. Employers who do not supervise acceptance of such agreements could subject their companies to legal headaches.
