As Laguna Niguel, Calif.-based Syngence Software readies to release a new version of its near-duplicate clustering software SynthetixND, the company is announcing a charter program that makes this — and all additional software upgrades — available at an annual flat rate fee.
SynthetixND applies linguistic profiles of terms used in a set of documents to create a digital “fingerprint” of a document, which is then used to identify and group near-duplicates of the document, according to the company website. Typically, 30 to 40 percent of documents in a corpus are near-duplicate groups. SynthetixND allows one reviewer to review near-duplicates, cutting litigation risks and speeding the time of review.
