Google, the internet search and software as a service provider, announced yesterday that it acquired Quickoffice, the maker of Quickoffice Pro for Android, iPad, and iPhone; and Quickoffice Lite for Symbian S60.
Quickoffice is an application suite for creating and editing Microsoft Office documents that includes a PDF viewer and a file manager. The suite works with email attachments, local files, and cloud storage accounts such as Google Docs. Quickoffice Pro lets you create and edit Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on smartphones and tablets running Apple iOS, Google Android, or Symbian operating systems.
