There’s no shortage of opinions in response to court orders regarding the predictive coding aspects of the da Silva Moore labor law case.
In Monique da Silva Moore, et al. v. Publicis Group SA, et al, Magistrate Judge Andrew Peck of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York authorized the use of machine learning software. Buzz about the case built up when the plaintiff objected to technology methods and formally requested Peck’s recusal. Judge Andrew Carter later affirmed Peck’s decision.
