OpenText announced Tuesday the release of new OpenText Capture Center software, a document capture platform designed to allow organizations to capture, digitize, and fully index paper documents, forms, and faxes, and then transfer the scanned output to back-end systems. The company claims it can support “virtually any” back-end system through the standard interfaces of third-party systems or via OpenText’s customizable application programming interface.

The new version has several enhancements, including improved precision scanning to support mobile devices. The improvements aim to reduce dependence on paper-based processes to verify the scan output, e.g., from a low-resolution mobile device.
