McDermott Will & Emery, a 1000+ attorney law firm with offices in the United States, Europe and Asia, has announced the firmwide adoption of Nextpoint’s Cloud Preservation tool for use in capturing and archiving web and social media data. Under the agreement, Nextpoint will provide training, support and data storage capacity for McDermott’s forthcoming e-discovery projects.
McDermott joins other Big Law outfits Kirkland & Ellis and Winston Strawn in its adoption of Nextpoint technology, a move the firm’s Managing Director for Discovery & Dispute Services, Alison Silverstein, says will help McDermott “respond quickly to the many social media and web archiving challenges” facing clients.
