On Wednesday I reported that mobile applications from the likes of Byte2 (Byte Squared), Documents To Go, and Quickoffice, all of which support Microsoft Office documents, lacked the native ability of Microsoft Word to track changes between different versions of a document. On the same day, Birkshire, U.K.-based Byte Squared, developers of business productivity applications, announced the availability of its latest version of Office2 (Office Squared) with support for Microsoft Office “Track Changes” feature — a pleasant surprise.

Office Squared optimizes Microsoft Office documents on iOS-enabled devices and enables users to view, edit, and create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on iPads and iPhones. In addition, users can manage and transfer documents on their iOS-enabled devices or via Google, Dropbox, or Box.net — all from the Office Squared interface — as well as read and create PDF documents. Now, Office Squared can track changes from one document to another.
