Law firms can make better use of their IT departments by getting personnel involved with other departments, according to survey results released Thursday by ALM Legal Intelligence. (ALM also owns Law Technology News.)

“While partners tend to pigeonhole IT people in operations, they have potential as key enablers of firms’ business strategies,” according to the study, “Finding the Right Balance: Non-Attorney Staffing in Law Firms.”
