Acer America has introduced its Iconia Tab A700 tablet computer. It offers a full HD 1080p LED backlit display, with 1920 x 1200 resolution,  16:10 aspect ratio, 800:1 contrast ratio and a wide 178 degree viewing angle. Plus, the display is a 10-point touch capacitive screen, and supports dual-display.

The tablet offers Dolby Mobile 3 surround sound capabilities, and is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It runs on the Android 4.0 operating system, and supports most Android apps, the Taiwan-based company says. It connects to other displays via an HDMI port, and to other devices via a micro-USB port, which can be used for synchronizing and transferring files. It also features a MicroSD card slot. MSRP in the United States is $450.
