Thomson Reuters ProView 1.4 is the latest upgrade of the namesake company’s e-reader platform that helps users interact with legal content on e-books. ProView adds power and functions for iPad users, and is also available as beta native apps for Android tablet, and Windows and Mac users, the New York City-based company explains.

ProView 1.4 supports the company’s content and productivity tools, including legal reference books from Thomson Reuters Westlaw; Sweet & Maxwell; and Thomson Reuters Legal, Tax & Accounting materials, among others.  Advanced features include full-text search, secured notes and highlights, and content updating. It boasts an enhanced user face, with a new landscape mode, and improved navigation, says Thomson Reuters. And important for any mobile lawyer who uses the device while on planes or trains: any content stored while in offline mode — such as new notes, highlights, and comments — is automatically updated and securely stored when connectivity is restored.
