Thomson Reuters, a legal information, software, and service provider based in Eagan, Minn., announced Wednesday a new version of Westlaw CaseLogistix software for review, analysis, and production of electronically stored information. Kristin Nimsger, general manager of Litigation at Thomson Reuters, says “Litigation, and the discovery process in particular, is growing more complex [today], and litigation teams need to quickly and easily share information in order to work effectively.” Without more, that sums up what’s new in Westlaw CaseLogstix 5.4. But of course there is more.
Westlaw CaseLogistix is part of Westlaw Litigator, which is a set of integrated software, services, and content designed to help attorneys handle matters and litigation. The set includes Westlaw Case Notebook, a centralized electronic case file that can be shared by a litigation team; West Cite Advisor, which automates citation formats and builds tables of authorities; WestCheck software that automatically extracts and verifies citations and quotations from documents; and Westlaw Drafting Assistant, which integrates with Microsoft Word and Corel WordPerfect to create work product from Westlaw and Westlaw Next research, as well as content from the Litigator series.
