Cooley LLP announced on July 24 the opening of its Los Angeles office with the addition of four LA-based partners. The new Santa Monica, Calif., office will serve as Cooley’s hub for technology, media, and venture capital in the Los Angeles area. The new office complements Cooley’s three existing California offices in Palo Alto, San Diego, and San Francisco.
Cooley plans to grow the office and provide full-service business and litigation legal services to clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups. Tech start-ups and accelerator programs have been popping up in Los Angeles and Santa Monica and the area may soon outpace Silicon Valley as the tech startup capital.
