Osaka, Japan-based software maker Recosoft released three new iPad apps designed to convert PDF documents into other file types. PDF2Office Business can turn PDFs into files compatible with commonly used business applications, such as Microsoft Office. PDF2Office for iWork lets you turn PDFs into editable Pages, Numbers, and Keynote files that you can use with both the Mac OS and iOS.

PDF2Office Lite lets you convert PDFs into plain text and rich text documents that you can then export and edit with different iOS text editors, including iA Writer, Byword, and Writing Kit. More importantly for attorneys, PDF2Office Lite lets you convert PDFs of depositions to text files that you can read and edit in TranscriptPad and other legal iOS apps. Normally priced at $.99, PDF2Office Lite is free through the month of August.
