As more information and applications are served from websites, the Amazon cloud, and the Windows Azure platform, the competition among browser developers is going to intensify to the point where no single web browser will lay claim to dominance. This has already occurred on Law Technology News.
LTN readers had predominantly used Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. In July 2012, no single browser was used to serve up more than 50 percent of LTN pages. Google Chrome usage has risen, taking users away from IE and Firefox. As more choice comes to market, allegiance in browser wars will be fleeting and users will quickly adopt fast, full-featured browsers such as the Maxthon web browser.
