Autonomy Corp. will soon have a new leader, Robert Youngjohns, who has a technology sales background at IBM, the former Sun Microsystems, and Microsoft Corp., officials said Friday.

Youngjohns will be general manager and senior vice president of the Hewlett Packard Co. information governance subsidiary as of September 17. Autonomy is a giant in the $1 billion e-discovery market, but was acquired by HP for its wider ability to manage unstructured data in an August 2011 deal for $10.3 billion.
