Atlanta-based legal services provider DTI recently acquired Houston-based legal staffing company Providus, according to both companies. Chris Aronson, president of DTI Knowledge Solutions, told Law Technology News that Providus will retain the majority of its senior executives and henceforth be known as “Providus, a DTI Company.”

Aronson explained that Providus will bring enhancements to each of DTI’s core businesses. Providus deepens DTI’s e-discovery and document review services by offering expanded geographies and additional expertise. “Through a growing network of local offices and state-of-the-art document review centers, DTI [can now support] a comprehensive range of document review and legal staffing services on a national scale,” said Aronson. Moreover, Providus should enhance DTI’s ability to handle more complex document review projects, including those that require specific subject-matter expertise or fluency in a language other than English.
