The second annual E-Discovery Institute Leadership Summit Program kicked off with a lively panel featuring four high-profile U.S. District Court judges debating four hot dilemmas in electronic data discovery. Held at the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ritz Carlton hotel, the two-day conference drew 218 attendees, including more than 50 who work in corporate counsel environments, as well as law firm, government, and federal lawyers and professionals, several consultants, at least a half-dozen jurists, and about 14 vendors.

The opening panel, “A View From the Bench: Ethical Challenges in Managing the Digital Deluge,” featured three judges from the Southern District of New York: James Francis, Frank Maas, and Andrew Peck; and Robert Johnston, from the District of Nevada.
