Baker & McKenzie today launched an iOS app to research and compare cross-border listings for initial public offerings. The new app is designed for in-house counsel, investment bankers, financial officers and other members of executive management to research an IPO and look up cross-border listings and compare the requirements for key international exchanges. It works with the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch and is now available in Apple’s App Store.
The new Cross-Border Listing App appears to lend itself well to the increase in cross-border IPOs and the need to obtain global listing options anywhere, anytime. Choosing the right stock exchange for a cross-border listing has benefits, according to Baker & McKenzie’s Global Securities practice group. With the right listing, a multinational company can gain access to additional capital, obtain favorable price-earnings multiples, as well as enhance investor perception. See Figure A.
