ITwin Inc., a network privacy company with offices in Boston and Singapore, has released iTwin Connect, a USB-enabled device that allows users to set up home and corporate virtual private networks and use the computer resources at home while at work, and at work while at home.

The Connect device looks like a flash drive with two identical halves, much like its predecessors iTwin Remote File Access and iTwin SecureBox. The device is installed by plugging it into the USB port of a local PC and detaching one half of the device to plug into a remote PC, creating a secure VPN tunnel. Data is relayed between the two devices through Amazon EC2-based servers using HTTPS protocol and can easily pass through a company firewall or router.
