Accessing your office files after you leave the building, whether you are going to court, a client’s office, or a home office, is now easier than ever. There are myriad options for you to copy and store files in the cloud, e.g., Dropbox or Mozy’s Stash, and access them from a remote location to review or edit. You can also copy them to a USB thumb drive to take with you when you leave the office. Either way, your files have exited the building. Godspeed.
If you’re copying files off of a secure office network to a hosted site or a removable USB, which may not encrypt the data or require a password for access, it might concern a client if those files hold client data or secrets. There is, however, a secure way to share your files with a remote computer without removing them from the office network by using iTwin’s USB drive.
