CPA Global’s First to File reports that The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has implemented Electronic File Room software-as-a-service to manage its patent data. EFR will help Goodyear expedite its transition to a paperless operation as it moves this month to new global headquarters in Akron, Ohio. (First To File was recently acquired by CPA Global, a Jersey, U.K.-based IP management software company.)

Electronic File Room integrates with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Private PAIR system, which provides web-based access to pending patent application information, as well as issued patents and published applications. Goodyear will also use FTF’s Agent Access Portal to cut costs associated with inbound files and emails from foreign associates.
