Mark A. Berman, a partner in the commercial litigation practice group at Ganfer & Shore, has been appointed co-chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Social Media, part of its Commercial and Federal Litigation section. Berman has written a column since 2005 for LTN sibling publication The New York Law Journal on e-discovery issues in New York courts.
Berman represents clients in complex commercial matters, emphasizing real estate and securities disputes, electronic discovery conflicts, and complex title insurance issues. He has argued cases before the First and Second Departments of New York’s Appellate Division and is a trained mediator. He served as an associate in litigation at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom prior to joining Ganfer & Shore.
