Rivet Software announced the release of version 5.5 of its Crossfire software as a service to help companies comply with the financial reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Finance, legal, and audit teams can collaborate in Crossfire 5.5′s web-based platform in a familiar Microsoft Office environment. From Crossfire, users can file online with the SEC in the required EDGAR HTML and financial data exchange XBLR formats. With Rivet’s software as a service, users can manage data in Excel and Word while keeping the XBRL and EDGAR HTML intact. With the latest iteration, users can compare XBRL during their filing to ensure quality, along with better version control and document management. The upgrade also adds additional form types and improved filtering capabilities.
