AccessData Group announced an upgraded version of its mobile forensics software, Mobile Phone Examiner Plus 5.3, plus the MPE+ Talon hardware add-on that provides support for Chinese chipsets.
MPE+ 5.3 adds forensic examination support for mobile devices running iOS 6.1.3, in addition to its current support to examine cellphones and Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile phones. The new version adds support for alerts based on keywords, phone numbers, and other data types that MPE+ flags and extracts from phones. Users can also bypass passwords on Samsung Galaxy SII and SIII smartphones, and view reports in a new interface built to handle high-capacity mobile devices.
