An invitation-only seminar on Monday, entitled “The How and Why of Predictive Coding — Minus the Hype,” sponsored by Equivio promised to demystify the technology-assisted alternative to keyword search and linear review: predictive coding. Equivio, a text analysis software provider, was represented by Warwick Sharpe, vice president of marketing and business development; Rachi Messing, vice president of customer solutions; and consultant Avi Elkoni.

The day-long conference walked the audience through e-discovery statistical concepts, use cases and workflows, classification technologies, and decision-making, to help participants make an informed decision on whether to invest in predictive coding. The seminar was moderated by David Cowen of The Cowen Group, and held at Le Méridien Hotel in San Francisco.
