LexisNexis announced during LegalTech West Coast an alliance with WatchDox Inc., a secure collaboration and mobile file sharing technology. The alliance will bring secure document collaboration and file sharing to Firm Manager 3.0, a cloud-based practice management system for small law firms that will be re-released with a makeover in August.

LexisNexis Legal and Professional will offer WatchDox’s secure file sharing, mobile productivity, and collaboration technology with LexisNexis Firm Manager without an add-on cost or separate charge. WatchDox technology will permit Firm Manager users to securely store and share files in the cloud and access them on any device, with full audit and tracking controls, along with the ability to revoke access to shared documents. WatchDox technology allows document creators to control permissions to access, edit, print, share, view, and even limit a recipient’s ability to capture screenshots or even photograph a document presented on any computing device.
