Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein has appointed Dwight Floyd as director of knowledge management, a newly created position at the firm. Previously a partner in the firm’s Columbia, S.C., office, Floyd will work with attorneys and staff in all five Parker Poe locations to identify best practices for knowledge management.
Floyd’s first task in his new role is to help establish processes for maintaining legal documents with the firm’s practice groups. The goal is to provide a method for Parker Poe’s attorneys and staff to access all available files, contacts, and content among the thousands of documents in the firm’s system. Other initiatives Floyd will oversee include matter intake auditing, business development initiatives, client surveying, and enhancing the firm’s document portal and search capabilities.
