The aptly-named GreenLaw Inc. is a nonprofit law firm dedicated to fighting for the health of Georgia's environment. Launched in 1992 and headquartered in Atlanta, the firm runs both the Georgia Clean Air Project and the Clean Water Act Enforcement Project, and recently launched the Metro Atlanta Environmental Justice Project to advocate for minority and low-income communities that are disproportionately affected by pollution.

Recently, the firm has been active in the fight for the preservation of Jekyll Island, a barrier island off the Georgia coast. Its future relies heavily on a debate over whether its 1,700 acres of tidal marsh can legally be defined as "land."
