Guidance Software Inc. announced that Encase App Central, an app store for EnCase products, has exceeded 10,000 downloads since it opened for business in the Spring. Like iOS apps enhance the core capabilities of iPad and iPhone devices, Encase apps build on the core functionality of EnCase products, such as EnCase Forensic and EnCase eDiscovery.

Most apps on the Encase App Central are free, but there are paid apps that use the EnCase open architecture and EnScript. Each app is tested by Guidance Software before it is made available to the public.
