Guidance Software Inc. formally unveiled the newest addition to its EnCase line of e-discovery, cybersecurity, and digital forensics products.

In a Monday, Sept. 30 press release, Guidance Software announced that EnCase Analytics, a Big Data security program that analyzes large volumes of data created by networked endpoint devices, is now available to the general public. According to the press release, the program examines all endpoint activity to protect a network against existing threats while sniffing out new threats that evade detection. The press release states that, in particular, EnCase Analytics is able to detect compromised administrative accounts and malware, and restrict activity with countries where a suspected hacking originates from.
