I bet each of us has winced at least once when going online and seeing something critical or worse said about ourselves, a friend or client. It’s never been easier to attack a person or organization online, whether through social media or online review sites (e.g., Yelp and professional review sites like Rate My Attorney and Lawyer Ratingz). The Internet is increasingly becoming the most popular weapon of choice for critics, competitors and enemies to fuel the fire of negativity; it also represents your best platform to respond.

We may express outrage if what we find online about us is outright false or worse, but to get it removed from websites or Google often requires the skills of an adept defamation attorney with experience battling the still nascent search engine industry, which for almost all of us is not someone we have on speed dial.
