Gartner Inc., a Stamford, Conn.–based research and advisory company, has revealed its inaugural “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Legal Management” report, evaluating eight vendors. Gartner placed each of the vendors into its “ Magic Quadrant” that is similar to the way the company ranks electronic data discovery vendors.

The ELM roster, released on Oct. 23, designates vendors into four categories: leaders, visionaries, niche players or challengers. The results (in alphabetical order) are:
