1. The Most Wonderful Time of Year—for Apple Inc. It’s shaping up to be a very happy holiday for Apple. On Wednesday the company finally closed its long-rumored deal with China Mobile Ltd. to offer the iPhone on its massive network. According to the Wall Street Journal, China Mobile, which has over 700 million subscribers (seven times as many as Verizon Wireless) and is the largest mobile network in the world, had been one of the last major providers not to carry the iPhone. China Mobile is planning a Dec. 18 rollout of its new 4G network and has stated that the iPhone would be offered after the rollout is complete.
