One day I am going to wake up in the morning and read that “fax is dead.” But that day is a long way off according to a small business survey conducted by eFax, an online fax service from j2 Global Inc.
The eFax survey revealed that of 1,100 people in small and midsize businesses polled, 84 percent have closed deals outside the office. Where were respondents when they closed deals? The most popular remote locations were restaurants and bars; then cars or trains; and then either airports or while on a plane. When asked “Where’s the craziest place you’ve ever faxed?” nearly a third of respondents said a car or train; 21 percent said a sporting event.
