The parent companies and respective legal divisions are comparable in terms of offerings, revenue and unfortunately, layoffs, rarely a sign of robust corporate health.

The two companies have competing legal research products, Westlaw and LexisNexis, and both have made moves into e-discovery, Thomas Reuters with CaseLogix and LiveNote, and LexisNexis with Concordance, Early Data Analyzer, LAW PreDiscovery and Sanction.”
