The fourth annual Electronic Discovery Institute Leadership Summit will tackle everything from cybercrime to the use of outsiders as 30(b)(6) witnesses during the three-day conference, Oct. 15-17 in Fort Lauderdale. Farrah Pepper, executive counsel for discovery at General Electric Co., and Jeffrey Sharer of Sidley Austin will cochair the event.

Two panels will feature key e-discovery jurists. “The Judges’ Forum: Emerging Issues & Ethical Perspectives from the Bench” will feature federal jurists John Facciola, Paul Grimm, Elizabeth Schwabedissen and David Waxse, who will tackle proportionality, costs, burdens and sanctions. The second panel will be “The Third Annual Judges’ Debate,” with Gisela Cardonne Ely, Frank Maas, Pamela Meade Sargent and Waxse.
