The Department of Homeland Security, the National Cyber Security Alliance and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center have dubbed October National Cyber Security Awareness Month. It’s no secret that hackers are increasingly targeting cellphones and mobile devices. Lawyers and their law firms have an ethical obligation to protect client confidentiality, so it’s especially important to protect security on mobile devices. With the recent release of Apple Inc.’s iPhone 6, those upgrading should be careful to clean out their old phones when making the switch.
