In September 2014, Experian Data Breach Resolution Group and the Ponemon Institute released their Second Annual Study on Data Breach Preparedness. The Ponemon Institute surveyed 567 executives in the United States, asking them how well prepared they think their companies are to respond to a data breach. Although the results can fairly be described as a mixed bag, the study contained positive news about how companies are dealing with the growing threat of data breaches and cybersecurity. Ponemon also identified ways to improve on some of the negative findings in the study.
