Nearly a dozen judges discussed the Internet of Things and other topics last Friday at the Advanced E-Discovery Institute, hosted by the Georgetown University Law Center. The Judicial Roundtable culminated the two-day event, which was held at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, McLean, Va., from Nov. 20 to 21.

Moderator Maura Grossman, of counsel at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, jokingly tacked on the last name “Facciola” to each judges’ name as she introduced the panel. When their names were announced, each judge dawned a bowtie to imitate U.S. District Court Judge John Facciola (District of Columbia). The bowties were worn to honor Facciola, who announced his retirement this year.
