The February 2015 edition of Law Technology News magazine is its last. Tonight, at a party kicking off LegalTech New York 2015, ALM will unveil “Legaltech news.” It’s a good move, long-discussed. The new name aligns more elegantly with our sister unit, Legaltech (which will lose its capital T).

The February 2015 edition is also my last. Yesterday marked my 30th anniversary with ALM. I’m a firm believer in not staying too long at a party, so like Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, David Letterman and Magistrate Judge John Facciola have said recently, it’s time for the next generation to take the helm. So I am retiring from ALM on Feb. 9. Tonight, at the aforementioned party, ALM will introduce my successor. I wish her great success and hope she loves the job as much as I have!
