Exari, a cloud-based contract lifecycle management software provider, announced on April 28 that its contract management technology has been awarded a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The patent protects Exari’s document authoring technology incorporated in its contract lifecycle management suite.

The Boston-based company’s document authoring technology allows for the creation of native XML smart contract templates that deliver tailored contracts in Microsoft Corp.’s Word, Adobe Systems Inc. PDF format, HTML, XML and other formats. This provides contract visibility, management, analytics and risk management for businesses.
